I purchased a Peterson StoboPlus HD tuner. While I am using it to tune the guitar, I am finishing the tuning by ear, especially the B's and G#'s. So I decided it was time to read the manual to learn how to set up the customized E9 tuning. Well, I read the manual and I'm no closer to knowing how to do it than I was before I read it. Can someone point me in the right direction? _________________ Fender American Deluxe Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul Standard, Quilter MicroPro 8. |

I don't have that exact one - mine's the Strobostomp 2.
However, on mine, there are two buttons you use to scroll through all of the presets until you get to the E9 settings - there are two already in there, one with sharp Es (ala Jeff Newman), and one with 440 Es. I haven't gone in and customized any other values - I just use what's on there now. _________________ Click here for the Index to Mickey Adams's YouTube video lessons

You set up your custom tuning on line, at your Peterson personal page.
You have to have the Peterson Connect program downloaded and installed on your PC. You connect the Peterson to the PC and then log in to your account. You can then create the custom tuning, and then download it to your tuner.
HERE is the Peterson tutorial on the Connect program.
I have a customized E9th program, based on the Newman program at 442, with everything (opens and pedal/knee lever changes) except one pedal change (the 4th String E to F#) in one program. If you want it to see what has been done, after you create an account, send me an e-mail and I'll log on to my account and send it to you. |

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get it registered but so far no luck at loading a sweetened tuning. _________________ Fender American Deluxe Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul Standard, Quilter MicroPro 8. |

Later today I'll try to get you some more information on setting up your own tuning. |

Got it. I was not aware of the need to push the rotary key. Thanks to those who helped.

Great, glad that you got it.
If you decide you want my "all in one" (minus one) E9th (and C6th) programs for the Peterson, e-mail me. I've sent it to about 12 people so far. |
