That's some sweet wood! I love the understatement of the design--let the grain do the talking. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

I agree with Mike. I like the look, and I'm sure they'll sound as good as they look. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Thanks a lot Fellas , I appreciate you all very much - as well as the entire forum and it's owner & moderators.
Brad - on the Koa and Maples I've Re-Designed my Original GB Brand of Lindy Fralin Over-Winds into my new Brand -- Vintage Spec..
It is nice to get back to my roots of Single Coil Sound, The Alumitones are super great and very desireable.
My personal Taste is in the Single Coil Alnico 5 Overwound Sound 2" ahead of the Bridge.
Happy - Merry to all - Best Wishes. _________________ GeorgeBoards S8 Non Pedal Steel Guitar Instruments

A whole bunch of fun and nice job on the grain matching.

Humbucking pickups can sound great and certainly have their use, but I too tend to favor a nice single coil for the more open and less compressed tone. 2" is a good pickup mounting spot. All too often I see designs where the pickup gets jammed up too close to the bridge and suffers from a thinner and tinny output. _________________ Some misc pics of my hand crafted steels
