Up for sale is my Allen Sweet Spot 1x12 with a Jensen Jet Black Bird Alnico speaker. I can say, without a doubt, this is the nicest amp I've owned or am likely to own. My wife and I are in the middle of serious "down-sizing" conversations, and this is simply too much amp for my needs right now. A SF Princeton that I've owned will cover me on the tube side I think.
You would be hard-pressed to distinguish this from a brand new amp. Build date by David Allen is mid-2013. Tubes are JJ power and EH Russian pre-amp tubes. Build quality is exceptional. This one comes with a two button foot-switch that I bought from David Allen. Per his website, the current price for this amp would be $1,739 for the amp and the foot-switch. The Jensen alnico speaker was offered as an upgrade from SoundPure, where I bought it, although I'm offering alternatives. I love the way the Jensen sounds in this amp.
This amp has a great feature set. 18 watts with 6V6's, 25 watts with 6L6's (6V6s currently installed); bias points located at rear panel; mid tone control, standby switch; great reverb and tremolo.
Price for the amp/foot-switch is $1,275 with the Jensen Alnico. If you'd prefer a ceramic speaker, I could install a Weber California and the price would be $1,250. If you'd prefer the amp unloaded, the price would be $1,200. (I also have a vintage EVM 12L that I could try to install, although I have some serious doubts whether it would fit.) Buyer to pay (CONUS only) shipping. Pay-pal is fine with 3% fees. Price(s) are firm. Amp will ship in the original SoundPure carton and will be well-packed and insured. Local pick-up is always an option as well (Connecticut).
Given the motivation to sell, I can't really entertain trade offers right now.
Please see the attached link for actual specs of the amp (mine looks exactly like the one in the picture, down to the yellow jewel light).
