That's a great example of Paul Franklin "playing for the song".
I've posted a talk-lesson at http://picosong.com/kWqz
If anyone wants to tab and post what I've taught, go for it! |

Pretty sure the pick-up is played at fret #3. Pick string 7, fret #3, slide back to fret 2, return to fret 3, pick string 6 (let string 7 ring), then pick string 6 and 5 at fret 3 and slide straight up to fret 10. |

Yer welcome, Johnny.
Thanks Dick, I emailed you a small correction.
On close listening I agree with Alex's comment.
The notes are the same as mine, but his allows for a bit more of slide/gliss. I hear that on the recording.
You probably should replace my mine with Alex's.
Thanks everyone. |

Glad to help, JH. Others have helped me.
Ideally that's what this place is about.
Alex, the Montreal show was great. We'll be back, probably in the Fall. |

Great example of the beauty of the steel guitar ... and the artistry of a great player
turning a very simple melody lead break into a work of art.
Thanks for sharing this tab and audio lesson. _________________ Boston area country musician
