Would anyone happen to have the chord progression to Stormy Monday tabbed out? It would save me a lot of time trying to figure out how to assemble or find 9th and 13th on my fret board. Surely someone has already done that. Very Happy Smile

Thanks a lot

Most people play a standard 12 bar blues version. Bobby bland's version is the only one with a few extra chords on the turn around.

Below is Bobby Bland's Version

G7 |C7 |G7 G#7 | G7 |

|C7 | |G7 Am7 |Bm7 Bbm7|

|D7 D#7 |D7 |G7 C7 |G7 D7 |

IMO the following is the best way to play it. The Bobby Bland progression is too cute sounding for my taste.

Intro D7 C7 G7 D7

G7 C7 G7 G7
C7 C7 G7 G7
D7 C7 G7 D7

Substitute 9th chords for 7ths to suit your taste.
Here is Jr. Wells version, which is the best.

As a rule, steel players are blues impaired. I've never heard one play this tune in a way that sounds like real blues.
