I work extensively in China and travel through Hong Kong and Shanghai regularly. I have discovered one other steeler in Beijing, Steve Takacs, but was wondering if there are any other group members in Asia and have any information or stories to share associated with that.

Ed, Pete Conklin and Martin Abend, both Forum members, are also now in Beijing. Good to have you in China and hope you make it to Beijing. stevet

Ed, I'm also a Virginia boy. Welcome to the Far East.

Steve, I didn't know about Martin. That's great.

Yeah, Pete, Martin has been working here a few months now and was going to use one of my steels fora bit, but I've not heard from him in three weeks. I assume he's rather busy. I think he heads back to Germany for a short break and will return to Beijing in January with his steel, I assume.
Hopefully, if the stars are aligned properly, we can all get together in January. Until then, Merry Christmas. stevet

My wife and I were in Beijing last June for a week. My first time there and we were just tourists, although I have been working in China a lot in the last 4 years. I am normally based in Huizhou a couple hours from Shenzhen, and I often get to Shanghai and Kunshan for a week or so at a time. I'd love to hook up. And speaking of hooking up, I want to go on the record as saying "Honey, I don't know nuttin about no ladies. It's just work, a cup of noodles and some lonesome blues on the guitar." That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Rolling Eyes
