I found this the other day, so I'm passing it along.

Although it contains only three of the four 78s originally included in the "box set", what is there is well worth having! This is JB in 1950 recording with a top notch group of Hawaiian musicians--essentially the "Hawaiian Quintette" that was touring with the Sonia Henie Ice Show, minus Andy Iona: Mel Peterson, George Ku, Danny Kuaana, and Al McIntire. It is the full set, but the cleaned up sound sucks.

Nani Hawaii has bee re-released a few times. You can see lots of copies of "On the Shores of Waikiki" floating around the web which are the same recordings. This early 50's date is a good example (along with his LP Hi-Fi Guitar) of Byrd's classic bakelite-thru-a-Volutone-amp sound.
