Can Anyone recomend something I could use as a contact cleaner, or what's commonly called tuner cleaner. The neck selector switch, on my D-10 P/P is not always making a good contact. Mainly on the E9th. neck. I'm thinking it just needs to be cleaned.
Radio Shack has a small spray can, and they want $16 for it. I hope there's some substitute that will do the same thing. Thanks, Tommy......

Hey Tommy...I've got a can or 2 of Caig Deoxit 5 here at the house. If you like, I could bring it around the corner and give the switch a shot for you. Just shoot me a PM. It cleans and lubricates electronic components.

If it's a Tele type switch, sometimes the contacts get bent, and quit making contact. If you can't bend'em back to their original position, a new switch is in order. Also could be a loose wire, or a few strands barely making contact.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember Brad Sarno saying in a post that isopropyl alcohol with a small drop of machine oil is a good choice.
Found it! My memory is intact after all.
