Olli, is there any way for us here in the US to purchase the live CD you recorded with Eric?
Wish I could see one of those shows!

Olli, I wish I could come and say hello. Alas, Europe is too far from Texas for me to travel. Eric is an outstanding talent and doesn't get nearly enough attention as he deserves in the USA.

For those that don't know, Eric Bibb comes from a musical family. His father, Leon worked on Broadway and was well known in the 60's New York Folk scene; An uncle, John Lewis, was the jazz pianist and a composer with the Modern Jazz Quartet. His God Father was the legendary Paul Robeson and he was mentored by Taj Mahal. All of these influences have left their mark on Eric.

Here is Eric performing his composition, "In My Father's House":

and performing with the Mali superstar, Habib Koité:

Enjoy your gig, Olli. It's sure to be a memorable tour. Smile

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn

Eric is an awesome songwriter and performer, and he seems to be just a really good guy. I've seen him a bunch of times. He's giving a songwriting workshop in BC next September, and I'm looking forward to attending.
If you haven't listened to him, check him out!

Btw, I have an old Hit Parader magazine fom the sixties, in which they called Darmstadt "the Underground capital" of Germany. A great city to be back then. Looking forward to meeting you. Smile

Thanks Olli. You sounded so good on your MSA and of course on the other two instruments. The best concert I was at in a long time.
