I just finished adding the 4th floor in the zero
position, suggested by mike perlowin and friends. Parts from Don Fritche at BMI. These are pretty easy steel guitars to work on IMHO. This will take some
getting used to though. My first inclination is to reach to far to the left and miss the B pedal when
using 1 and 2 down. I realize It's just a matter of practice. What do I get in Return? Zero pedal down an E minor, Also on 11,10,9 and 7, G major 7th. Zero pedal and 1 down is an A7th. These are all I'm aware of so far. I'll try and upload some pictures of my work underneath the steel for those of you who might be interested. I plan on doing this on my BMI S-10 also. T.L.

Nice BMI Lee. I'm assuming you just cut the rods shorter for the pedals you moved over? After you cut them, how did you drill those little holes on the end where the retaining clip goes through? I thought about maybe adding one on my BMI.

Josh and dan,Thanks for the compliments. Don sent me 32" rods and I just cut them to length put the bend in and drilled the 1/16 inch hole. Carefully I might add. No rods are rubbing which I was trying to achieve. The hardest part was getting around that inverted cross bar LKR. Don drilled some extra holes
in the zero cross bar so I could spread out. Plays great, Labor of love.
BMI forever T.L.

I haven't followed your previous threads, but I am assuming that your new zero pedal is not of the Franklin variety, but is lowering G#'s to G. I had this change on a Universal 12 and liked it. Combined with pedal A also creates some nice diminished chords.

I do have guitars with the Franklin pedal 0 now, but I really dont use it very much. I think I would prefer the change split on some levers and use the extra pedal as you have done instead. Nice work!

Clete, you are correct on the G#'s to G. Thank you
for the compliment. T.L.
