The Ozark SGA has been giving some thought to extending the annual July Show, which is the last Sunday in July, into a 2 day event - Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, 1:00pm to 5:00pm, we would offer teaching and maintenance seminars as well as a Super Jam. This and other options are just in the thinking/planning stages. If you are considering attending the July Show we would like to know if a 2 day event is something you would be interested in. Let us hear from you.

Hank, that's the way our shows in Saluda, SC work. Saturday is seminar/check in/jam day, and it gives everybody a chance to get re-acquainted, rest up a little, eat a nice meal, and then pick some on Saturday night. Then the show is Sunday.
Works out real well.

while on the subject of the Branson show. I talked to Herb Remingtion on the phone earlier this week. I said it would sure be neat if you could come to Branson to play at one of the shows. He said he had done a show at Silver Dollar City a few years back and just loved Branson. someone else that use to fly in to tape the Stan Hitchcock show was Bobbe Seymour. I would love to see both of the guys at a show. it would sure make me want to come early and geat a good seat. of course there are many others as well. as for the two day event, I have mixed feelings. a lot of working players have trouble coming on Saturday, but there are many that could still probably come. as far as workshops, I would also like to see a dobro workshop and maybe a non pedal lap and hawaian workshop. sorry for the long post Hank. I will try to support the Ozark SGA better in 07 than I did in 06

Sounds like some really good possibilties Hank--of coarse what's the local work load and do we have enough able bodies so you don't have to carry the whole load ? My wife and I frequently spend the week end there anyway looking and visiting. I'll do all I can to help. Bill.

Some of us will be helping you guys unload and move your equipment to the building and then back to your vehicle. All you have to do is ask at the door. Hope this will make it sound even better. The "only exception" to this volunteered assistance will be to the guys sporting a Session 500 without wheels (ha ha).

Guys, Hank is trying to do some exciting things for us this year in the club and it is definately oriented more to amatuer performers and fun things more often. The Branson Community Center is a neat and handy place to get to and we can have lots of enjoyable times together but he'll need participation and input. The July show at The Baldknobbers is of coarse THE big event but we have other things going on now to enjoy also. Let's all get behind Hank and offer help and incouragement. - Wink

Hank,
I think what you and your staff are planning is great..I wish I lived closer so I could maybe help, but at least attend..But a 700 + mile trip is a bit unhandy..
Thank you for your work and dedication.
RP...'come on in'...
