The 3rd annual informal jam on friday Feb 23rd has moved to a more convenient location. It will be held in the lounge at Cadillac Lanes (bowling alley). They have a food and beverage bar in the lounge. The acoustics should be better also. It is also near Paulies night club which will be hosting their annual Pre-NEISGJ jam, for those who wish to participate in both events.
Details: Cadillac Lanes, 650 LaPorte Rd, start time 6pm.
Heartland Inn address: 1809 LaPorte Rd.
An easy 12 blocks from the motel.
Come and pick or sit and grin. |

Dennis, It sounds like an improvement all the way around. More parking, much easier to find and within staggering distance of Pauly's and the Heartland. |

Not Confirmed Yet:
Donald Trump will be attending the Cadillac Lanes jam with Miss USA, Tara Conner!! She will be out of rehab and ready to party. Donald has decided to part his hair down the middle for this event.
Rosie Oh'Donald will be at Paulie's with a comb-over.

Sounds good Bill! We'll get her started in the Jump Start Academy. And I'll be there to watch the first lesson....at a safe distance. |

Hey Bill, you don't have to be a Canary to be from the Canary Islands.
Can you put Gut strings on a steel and not have tuning problems? |

Several years ago, after I realized that gut strings were made from cat entrails, I put a set on my steel with the intensions of playing the theme song from the Meow Meow cat food commercial. Much to my dismay, my tone sounded rather pussy cat. And my guitar began to stink. It might be fun to work up the tune for a jam if someone would sing it?
Key of C
Verse: (C) meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow.
(F) meow meow meow meow (G) meow meow meow meow.
(repeat)
(end) (C) meow meow (G) meow meow (C) meeeooowwww |

Trying to recollect "gut string bass"?? Is that whereby a single kite string is crazy glued to the beer gut button. The other end held in your teeth. Pull the head back for higher notes as you pluck the string??....?? |

Tom,
Thanks for lending me your truck to retreive my gear back at the Quad-Cities show.
A vehicle break down on the way to a gig has got to rate as one of the biggest "bites" that I can think of.
The Suburban only has 260,000+ on it. It's like an ol'dog.
She ain't singin' th' blues so, don't call the vet...I don't want to put her down just yet.......... sounds like the fixin's to a song.
Thanks again,......Bill |

Hey Bill. Ya shoulda called me. I could have loaned you my Vega Station Wagon with the left rear shock busted. It works great if you strap your amp to the right front fender,,,,,kinda balances the load.
As for chop stix on trumpet?????? HMMMMMMMM I have not figured out the split tuning on there yet. I keep waving my knees around but can't find the lever. That must be why people have been offering up where the bathroom is.......... |

I've done that while playing the Stringmaster before.
People think that you can actually dance and play at the same time.....Perhaps a heckler with a slingshot?...BULLS-EYE! |
