Off topic, but I know there are some very handy and capable people on this forum. Does anyone have any secrets/tips/tricks regarding re-lining a guitar case? I have a nice old Lifton case (and an even nicer old guitar inside it) that needs help. Looks like a pretty straightforward project, but if anyone who has done a re-line has any advice, I am all ears. Thanks, Steve.

I would put a" more informative subject line" stating your quandary. I'm sure a lot of members can help. Get the ones who know about upholstery to open your thread by mentioning upholstery. Hope that helps. Good luck

I have re tolexed a few amplifiers. I guess you are going to use some kind of felt., which I know is different from tolex but……..Many of the experts say to glue the tolex on with contact cement, which is very unforgiving. You can't really make any adjustments. So I took an idea from an amp tech, and used heavy duty wallpaper glue, which has lasted 14 years with no problems. I used staples where they wouldn't show, which might not work for your application.
Once you get into the process, you might want to follow the manufacturers lead. They might have used a covered insert, which can be wrapped with sheets of thin soft foam, then covered with fabric. I think hot glue is used for this method.
I'd like to see photos ( before, during, after? )

Fo'bro Winston from Kentucky bought my Zum case that needed love.
You might wanna ask him whether he did the inside.
