OK, got a question or two on origins of pedals and/or knee levers. I heard the story on the A/B/C pedals concerning Buddy and Jimmy, so I guess I'm good on those.

Now, since it's called the PF or Paul Franklin pedal, can I safely say he came up with it?

Also, on the 1,2, and 7, F#'s to G# and Eb to E, was that also Paul or was it a combination of folks?

I think the G# to E (6th string lower) was also Paul or did someone else do it before that?

I'm just trying to get some PSG history correct in my mind. BTW, is there anybody out there keeping track of this for posterity?

Any comments, thoughts, debate (please no arguments), appreciated.

I've heard the 1&2 raise associated with Tommy White.

The 7th string raise, F# to G, has been around for years. Johnny Cox and I put that on my PP Emmons in 1972. Johnny told me he got that from Buddy Charleton, who called that his Ernest Tubb lever.

I remember seeing the 2nd string raise on guitars through the store (Little Roy Wiggins' Nashville music store) in 71/72 but I have no idea who came up with it. Also, in that time frame the 1st string F# to G, not G#, was popular.
