Open D tuning on my Asher deep body Hawaiian Weissenborn. I was inspired by Bill Frisell's beautiful standard guitar performance of Surfer Girl to try to just play the song without trying to be clever with substitute chords, fancy runs, etc. I prefer it without picks but just couldn't get a good recording without 'em.

Nice job Andy and I think very brave of you to attack a complex tune like that on solo steel guitar. Kudos!
