I guess better late than never. I just bought this book and I am enjoying every moment of it. There is so much wisdom to be gleaned from the interviews and stories, this is a must have for anyone with an interest in steel guitar, pedal, non pedal.
Thank you Mr.Volk for writing it, it is a great accomplishment and such a wealth of knowledge for us newcomers. I can't say enough. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Die with Memories. Not Dreams.

It's a fantastic book, as is Slide Rules, his book on nonpedal tunings.

Yes, I blame Andy's book for tossing me into the great abyss of the world of Lap Steels. Now I own too many and try to keep adding to the knowledge his book provided.
I also take it to Steel Guitar Conventions to get autographs into it. Unfortunately many have passed away.
It is a must for anyone interested in lap Steel. _________________ www.deluxe34.com lap steel stands, Clinesmith, Gibson Console Grande, Northwesterns, The Best Westerns
