I consider myself very fortunate that I'm able to see these guys two or three times a year.

Years ago, my cousin and I stopped in and visited with Dick Bills on the radio in Albuquerque. Dick Bills had a group called the Sandia Mountain Boys and they were very popular in New Mexico. In fact, Glenn Cambell's first wife was Dick Bills daughter.

Erv, Dick Bills was Glen's uncle. I don't think he married his cousin!

I know that Ray Noren played steel alongside Glen when he was with the Sandia Mountain Boys. He turned Glen, who was 16 at the time, on to Django.

Laughing Glen's first wife was Diane Kirk.

Mike,
I did some more searching on the web and came up with this: "Glen Campbell was born in Billstown, Arkansas and the town's name is taken from the Bill's family name. Dick Bills was married to Glen Campbell's father's sister and Glen's first wife was also Bill's daughter---possibly Vicki".
That was the name on Dick Bill's record label. It is possible that Diane Kirk wasn't Glen Cambells first wife, he maybe had a prior marriage.
Didn't Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old cousin?
What do you call a 14 year old unmarried girl it Arkansas? An old maid! Whoa! Whoa!

That's funny, Erv!

Here is Wikipedia: "In 1954 Campbell moved to Albuquerque to join his uncle’s band known as Dick Bills and the Sandia Mountain Boys..."

"Campbell has been married four times and is the father of five sons and three daughters, ranging in year of birth from 1956 to 1986. Campbell's eldest daughter is Debby, from his marriage (1955–1959) to Diane Kirk. After divorcing Kirk, Campbell married Billie Jean Nunley, a beautician from Carlsbad who gave birth to Kelli, Travis, and Kane. They divorced in 1975. Shortly after, he had an affair with and later married singer Mac Davis's second wife, Sarah Barg, in 1976. They had one child together (Dillon) and then divorced in 1980, three weeks after Dillon's birth...Campbell has been married to Kimberly "Kim" Woollen since 1982."

Anyway, sorry for the thread hijack.
