Winter will be much warmer than usual as January 27, 2007 has been set for a hot steel guitar show in Walker, Louisiana!
Buck Grantham, a native of Denham Springs, LA, will be our honored guest as we highlight his career and dedication to the steel guitar. Buck has instructed many pickers from this area, including Wilburn Stewart, who plays the steel guitar with the use of a prosthetic for his left arm.
Danny Harrell, Randy Blackwell and I invite you to join us for this day-long event at the historic Old South Jamboree in Walker, Louisiana. The roster is incomplete, but we already have a commitment from the legendary Bill Stafford from Gulfport, MS.
There will be lots of surprises and good clean fun in a family-friendly atmosphere. We welcome you to join us and ask you to keep watching the Forum for updates!

This is something we would LOVE to be at, but we will be at the Mesa Show that day. Buck is WELL deserving of this day. He has helped many steel players I'm sure, but has been a BIG help to Austin. We sure will be thinking of you then. Sorry we can't make it Buck.

Well wouldn't you know it...my cousin Buck is have an appreciation day, one that is well deserved, and I won't be able to be there. I'll be in Mesa, Az. working the S.W.S.G.A. show. Buck is a great steel guitarist and six string guitarist and an even finer gentleman.
Barbara and I are very happy to hear of this wonderful recognition being given to Buck. Just wish we could be there to enjoy his day with him and Miss Mitzi.
Thanks Jeff Blackwell and all of you that had a hand in making this day a day for Buck to remember.
Best wishes "Cuz" and Mitzi, we love you both,
...Roy and Barbara

Buck is one of my favorite musicians & well respected individual. He faithfully participates in our Branson jam & puts much feeling in his music. I was surprised when he selected "El Paso" one yr.( a challenge on steel) & nailed it too. When he & Wade Landry team up on cajun tunes, the crowd comes alive. He deserves to be recognized.
