Many Thanks Jerry-would never have guessed what it was and looked too good to be home made.I suppose it will work on my GFI? -slots rather than pins. Will try and get one UK side.
Regards Dave

You could also get a woman's makeup foam wedge...

I have a wedge that I use on my Franklin (it has pins). I tried it in my Wife's GFI Expo S-10 and it works.

A flat thin pencil eraser works - one that we all have in a desk or drawer
Somewhere. At least that's what I've been using for 10 years.

Using a piano mute makes sense, but leaving that long handle on it probably doesn't. Wink

Funny to see this. I have been using a piano mute for some 15 years for this purpose. Without that handle, though.

I imagine a rubber door stop could work fine, too, and really cheap. I'll have to try that on my Mullen. News at 11:00.

They all will work, but i just took a piece out of wood shim, that is used to shim a door, window, or cabinets. Had a whole bunch in the basement, and cut one the size I needed. Hook the string in the fingers, insert the wedge, wind the string on the tuner till the string is stretched, but no real tension on it. Take the wedge out, and tune the string.
