Our next meeting will be Sun.,Dec. 3rd at the Life Church in Katy. Take I-10 to Katy. Take Pin Oak exit and go south on Pin Oak to Katy-Flewellen. (Chevron Store). Right on Katy-Flewellen to Greenbusch(first street on left). Left on Greenbusch for about a mile and you will see the Life Church on your right. The hall will be open at 1:30 PM. Show starts at 2:30PM. All players should be there at 1:30 to set up. Ther will be a "New Player" segment. Each "New Player" should have two songs ready to play. Jody Cameron will give an instruction segment. and Jody Cameron will also be the featured player. Then the JAM. The meeting is free. There will be a donation box for those who would like to donate to help defray the expenses of operating the club. All musicians, vocalists, and steel guitar fans are welcome. As this will be our last meeting this year, and before Christmas, lets not forget that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of our LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST. See you there. Jody, Billy, and Patty.

I think it is important for us to support our local clubs, because I believe that these clubs are a big part of what is keeping our quirky little instrument alive...SO...In light of that, and in keeping with the season, I have a special little Christmas gift prepared for anyone who wants one, but you have to come to the meeting to get it, so come on out for some fun and fellowship this Sunday if you are able!

For anyone who may be interested, I'll be at Mo's right there in Katy, on Sat. night just a couple of miles from the steel meeting place on Sunday. Showtime is 10:30 PM, artist will be Zona Jones. Solid country and western swing, featuring a great fiddle player, Mike Calley.

I'll stay over in Katy and come to the SETSGA meeting Sunday. C U there!

Thanks, JC

Well guys, I was hoping to come Sunday, but I am still fighting this thing called "shingles"! I thought that I could bounce back in a hurry, but after 5 weeks it ain't happened yet. The doc said that it would take at least 6 to 8 weeks. The pain has been rough, but I am starting to heal, so maybe next month I can be there. Hope to see ya'll soon ..........

Bud, when you come again I'll be sure you have a steel to play. You sounded good on my Mullen.
