1975, the year my pedal steel journey began, Sho-Bud D-10.

Never did catch up to Buddy Cage, oh well.

Heard him do that run on HELLO MARY LOU, when he played in town many years ago. The audience rose to its feet as he rose up the neck. Fabulous.
Recent clips of him I've seen are sad - Buddy doesn't even start off PANAMA RED, he's overweight and just looks tired. Guess the road's been rough on him, but his legacy sure stands proud.

He seems to struggle these days. I know his health isn't good..
His legacy does stand proud.. He got a LOT of us started with that wonderfully aggressive, staccato E9 style he made famous... Sitting there hour after hours copping his great solos... bob
