To me it just looks like a BR-9 that was refinished. Can it be something special Gibson did as the seller claims?
thanks, Ron

I agree, it has to be a refinish. |

But it's a special refinish. It has a Seymour Duncan P90 pickup, and replaced tuners, too. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

And it has 60's cap style Vol & Tone knobs. _________________ Michael Brebes

Ultra rare finish, ultra rare tuners and ultra rare pickup! All for about 50% more than one of those not-so-rare all-original ones would cost! |

And somebody actually spent over $700.00 for the privilege of owning a "custom shop" BR-9! Ted McCarty must be rolling in his grave! |

Does anyone recognize the fretboard? That may provide a clue as to what the original steel was. _________________ www.deluxe34.com lap steel stands, Clinesmith, Gibson Console Grande, Northwesterns, The Best Westerns

Like nearly everything else about the guitar but the incredibly ugly paint job, it looks like original equipment for a BR-9. |
