Hi All,
Restringing ZB #1008 this weekend, and thought I give it a good cleaning. What do you all use on older finishes and cast aluminum parts? is there anything I should avoid?
best,
Matt |

For the wood of my Bud and MSA, I use (because James Morehead recommended it) the Olde English 800, and on shiny metal, Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I recently began cleaning a 73' MSA I obtained from a guy who never cleaned it. I fell in love with the Purple Stuff from California Custom. Made it real shiny without alot of elbow greese. _________________ MSA CLassic SD-10

Meg's Pro Swirl Remover 2.0 to clean the finish. California Custom De-oxidizer and Purple Polish for the aluminum. Their M-Ron wax for the final step. Of course if you have endless amounts of time and elbow-grease, use something else. The Cali Custom products can be frequently found at local Mack Truck dealers for a few bucks less, and with no shipping charges. |
