Be careful with the JBL's. Many of them will not handle the available power of a NV400.

Back when Peavey first came out with the Session 400 and used a JBL, they were getting blown because they couldn't handle the power. That was the reason, according to Mike Brown, that the 1501-4 BW speaker was developed - to sound like a JBL but handle the higher power.

BTW, the Eminence EPS-15C speaker, which is designed to be a direct replacement for the 1501-4, sounds like a JBL to me. When I first tried the Eminence speaker the first thing that came to mind was it "sounds just like the JBL K-130 that I had in a Fender Twin Reverb". After a year and a half with the speaker it still sounds like the JBL to me.

jack: i have the eps 15c in two of my nv 400's, but i made the mistake of putting one of the black widow 1501-4 back in one of them, not wanting to get into a debate about speakers but the bw sounds better to me. just thought i would try maybe the e130-4 for a change. and yes i have 2 of the d130 jbls but i am afraid they might blow....thanks jack (billy i sent you a pm)
