Is there enough room on the undercarriage of a late 1980's ZumSteel S12 to have staggered left knee levers (a front lever and a rear lever)? I might want staggered right levers, too.

My Mullen D12 cabinet is 11-3/4" deep, and the rear left left is right at the back apron. It's my main lever, the front one is secondary. Both are almost dead on in line with each other, and 5-3/8" apart center to center.

How wide is the Zum cabinet?

Yes, my 82 S-12 (single body) came new from Bruce with two LKL levers and they were in line with each other he used two less than full width shafts to make it work. I still have it but it's not where I am right now so can't measure it tonight.

How do you operate staggered knee levers?

You rock your hip forward or backward to hit or clear the one you want to hit or clear.

John my 82 Zum S-12 measures 5 and 15/16" from inside to inside of the cabinet. I assume that is the dimension you wanted? It's 7 5/16" wide on the outside.

Thanks, Jay, inner space is what I was wondering about. I've concluded I need to stick with an SD-12 for easier fit of staggered levers. More space the better.
