Who is a good person or shop for pedal steel mods in the Southern California region?

Another big vote for Jim Palenscar at Steel Guitars of North County. He did a complex setup on an MSA Millenium U12 for me including moving a pedal 9 to a pedal zero position which involved fabrication and modification.

He is wonderful to work with and a great craftsman.

Ditto. Jim does great work at very reasonable rates and is a great guy. He can do a lot of fabrication in his small machine shop on site too. And you'll enjoy the hang at his shop. He always has good music on and you never know who might drop by.

Another recommendation for Jim. But let us not forget Blackie Taylor.

Hi Jack. Yes. As far as I know Blackie is still around, still has his shop, and is still out there gigging. He must be around 85 now.
