Hi Ray. We are looking forward to being there and seeing everyone again.
Fred, we might give you a cup of coffee if you'll come. No, really, the ladies bring all kinds of cakes and pies to snack on. |

Fred, My wife has informed me she will be making her world-famous carrot cake. I love a dessert that gives you a good shot of beta carotene. She made it last month and after eating a piece, my picks stayed on my fingers real good and my vision was so good I could make out all the markings past the twelfth fret.

Fred, Allen hit the nail on the head. We are having "stakes". Better bring an extra set of teeth as they're made out of wood. Dana, looking forward to seeing you guys again. This will be our first meeting since our show and we're going to discuss how well we did this year. We're just so proud of all the musicians that went out of their way to make it a success. I see that Branson and Southern California are starting a club also. All I have to say is if there's not a steel club close to where you live, just jump in and start one. You'll have more fun than a barrel of monkey's and also you never know who will show up. It ain't work when you're having fun! Ray

We really had a good time yesterday at the meeting. Steel players were: Austin Stewart-Rick Nicklas-Lee Ogle-Paul Troop-Glen Vaughn and Benny Haynes. Then we were honored at about 2:30 to have Kansas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member Scotty Henderson with his lovely wife Teresa to show up and play. Man, that was just icing on the carrot cake that Debbie Nicklas made! Jerry Hoffman on rythmn guitar. Members: Ruth Sageser, Clara Houck, Randy-Dana-Dalton Stewart, Bob Taylor, Shirley Bowen, Marvin Groff & Friend, My Sister Louise Wade. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone but we sure a good day of playing! Thanks to everyone who keeps supporting the KSGA!

Ray, Debbie and I had a blast. I am amazed at everyone's different approach to each song we played. I love to hear each and every one. I wish I could spend time with each person just to pick up some pointers on how they approach different songs. Austin,Scotty and Mr. McGee are super dooper pickers and boggle my mind but I am glad they come and share and entertain us with their music. Can't wait for next months meeting.

You guys are right, we had a great meeting. The KSGA meetings and events are something we look forward to each time. Everyone has been so kind to us and we love each and every one.
Rick, Austin learns just as much from you and the others as you do from him. He listens and learns different licks or ways to play a song each time he goes. There are songs each month that go around the circle that he has never heard before also. That's one of the reasons we keep bringing him to the meetings. It helps him learn new things and new songs. I got tickled last Sunday, when he played through one of the songs, and then looked at me and mouthed "What was that"?
