I have the Franklin pedal set up on my Emmons LeGrande. It does not operate anything on the C6th neck or pull the tenth string yet it's hard to push and seems uneven. Is there a trick to make it a smoother and easier pull? I have the four-hole bellcranks. Thanks in advance.

hi Chad,

the deal here is; since there are no pulls on the C neck, just open up the backstop screw on the 4 pedal cross shaft a couple of turns and drop the rods closer to the shaft on the bellcranks. That will lengthen the pedal but the feel will be easier.

Start w/string5 as it goes the farthest and then time the other change with string5. You may need to change rod holes in the changer as well depending on where they are currently placed.' Give me a call if you like.
