Hello friends,
I am looking at a Peavey KB100 on Craigslist. Any opinions on whether this would make it as a steel amp? My main instrument is keyboards, but want to add steel as well. The gentleman is selling it for 110.00 and it seems to be in OK condition. Any feedback is appreciated!

My wife uses a Behringer K1800FX keyboard amp with her piano, and I used it for awhile for steel. Sounded OK. _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus! |

I've played thru a KB 300 in a pinch, not bad. At that price I'd think you couln't go wrong. It wouldn't be enough power for a large unmiked situation. A plus is the extra channels with EQ. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Welp, I ended up picking up the Peavey and I am really happy with it. Nice and clean sounding and the reverb, although not the best, is passable. I almost blew it tho by accidently plugging into the pre eq patch input - which disabled the preamp! No power! I thought I had ruined my amp 30 minutes after buying it, but i took guitar cord, inserted it and quickly pulled it out, and the preamp was back. Disaster averted. Until my next one! _________________ Carter SD10
