Midwest Country from Minnesota last night with Leona Williams , Ferlin Huskey, Justin Trevino, and Johnny Cox (I think)....he's lost so much weight I could hardly recognize him. Can anyone identify the fiddle player? Thank God for Tracy Pitcox and his uncompromised committmenmt to preserving traditional country music. I love R F D. |

Larry,
The fiddle player is none other than Ron Knuth. Ron plays most instruments and is an experienced luthier also. Ron lives just up the road from me in Spring Branch.

Very good show. I was at the live show in August. Much better live ofcourse. Johnny Cox is a monster player. Justin amazed me, can he ever sing, not to mention play the bass. Leona put on a great show. I hope they get Heather Myles up here someday soon, I would for sure go to that one. |

I played fiddle for Leona on a show about a year ago (with Stoney Stonecipher on steel) and I enjoyed it very much. Leona's music is pure country and she's proud of it. I have some business coming up in Houston soon and I'm going to try to arrange to see Justin Trevino, Jake Hooker, Amber Digby, etc.... and of course my hero Dicky Overbey.
