I don't think I bought the tracks disc with that one, John. I'll have to see. I've got your instrumental version here at the office.
You can click the "edit" link above your post to correct spelling. That way you don't need to admit to your mistakes if you cover them up fast enough.

Maybe this is the motivation I need to get back to pickin' a little. I checked my cabinet last night and discovered that I do have the tracks disc that John sold with the album. Having the tab book will be an excellent kick-start for someone with limited time to devote to steel, i.e. a golfer. 
I haven't opened my Lexington show flier yet, but I expect you'll be there. True, John?

Just thought I'd let you know that all my rockabilly buddies over here in the U.K. still talk about your playing on Slim Rhodes track 'take and give ' back in 1956.
a perfect mix of rockabilly and country I consider the track to be one of the most underated Sun records recordings, Can you remember those sessions you did in the 1950's and what your set up / instrument/ amp you used all those years ago. have you ever tabbed out your playing during this period ?

Thanks for the compliments.
I remember very well doing those sessions back in the 50s. I had a double-neck, Fender stringmaster that Shot Jackson had put 3 pedals on for me, a Bigsby volume pedal & a fender amp. I can't remember the model of the amp but it had a 15" speaker in it. I have a picture of it but you can't read the name on it.
Anyway, that's what I was using back then.
I've never tabbed any of that stuff. First place, I don't tab, second place, I couldn't read it if I could tab.
Doug Jernigen does all of my tab for me.

Thanks for responding and making my day !
the fender amp you used to use in the 1950's with the 15 inch speaker I expect was either a Fender Pro or early Bassman or Bandmaster.
Although you probably had a e9th 8 string Bud Isaacs set up on your modified 3 pedal stringmaster your playing and sound was special - different and so recognisable !
