It's Ron Dann , a great Canadian player. I think he was based out of Toronto . I played in a duo that was the " warm up" band for a gig Jesse Winchester played at the Calgary University 'round about that time . In the video it is the same band he had with him on that engagement. Sadly Ron passed away a few years ago. |

Ron Dann is playing steel for Jesse in this documentary. Ron was from Montreal then moved to Toronto to pursue session work which he got as a musician. & arranger . Ron passed away from lung cancer a few years after this taping. This entire band is Canadian. Ron was an amazing person and a mentor to me personally. He is missed dearly . _________________ I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.
I received my education, drivin through the Nation listenin to Paul!.. ( Franklin that is! ) |
