Here's a long shot, but I have a friend with an old Rickenbacker M-15 (15" speaker ) amp and I love the tone.
If anyone has a lead on something similar please let me know.

I have two of these amps, a M-15, and
a M-15A. The M-15A has tremlo. Both amps
were made in the 50's. I'm using one of these amps on the new Blue Hawaiians CD
"Live At The Lava Lounge 2", and on the
Vanduras "In The Dark". You can see a picture of my M-15 on page 197 of Andy
Volk's book "Lap Steel Guitar". In that
same book on page 154 you can see a M-15A
behind Lee Jeffriess. If you find one of
these amps get it! They only put out about
25 watts, but you can bump them up by 10
more watts with some simple mods. It's
the only amp I use, live or in the studio.

I have a rickenbacker RB60 (bass) but I am playing guitar through it and it sounds really good! The guy I bought it from was playing steel through it and it sounded better than anything I have heard. I was told it makes a very good keyboard amp too. Mine is in very good condition but I cannot find any information on it. It is on casters and not all that heavy. Having said all that, I don't think I am ready to sell it yet. If any has any information about the RB60 I sure would like to hear from you. Thanks |
