I want someone to work on My Derby it sounds like a gazillion bucks but my 6th lower is sticking and I suspect it is the changer gunked up is there someone in Indiana or West Ohio, Northern Kentucky? I cannot get Mr Callaway to answer my messages I called once and asked him about a knee lever I talked less than 5 minutes and was polite to him..Not sure why He won't respond to messages,If you know of someone around 100 miles or so let me know Thank you Gentlemen!...

Derby guitars are all pull correct? If so Im sure that any pedal steel mechanic can work on it for you. It would probably get you better results to advertise for just a pedal steel mechanic. IMHO.
If I am wrong I apologize. Good luck!

Bill, can you give the exact symptoms. I once had a change that would not return true or returned erratic on my Derby. I found that the aluminum spacer at the changer between the changer finger and the nylon tuning nut was getting buggered against the stainless steel changer finger and was then getting hung up on the threads of the pull rod. I tried several things to eliminate the problem. Eventually went to hard nylon spacers that I was able to get at ACE Hardware. This may not be your problem, but it does sound familiar.
