good fellows, my pedalmaster legs keep slipping, loose. this is at the adjustment near the floor, not where the legs meet the body. completely unscrewed, the leg has what looks like a copper washer or ring. any suggestions would be appreciated. i have searched the forum but it seems like those solutions focus towards the top part of the leg where it meets the body. my problem is where the leg adjusts to the floor. _________________ Carter SD10

Are those knurled washers on the right way around, they'll slip if they don't bite, i think the point should be facing 'into' the leg! _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

Dale..That is what is refered to as the 'clutch' (same system as used on microphone stands). A simple solution is to purchase some wood dowl slightly smaller in diameter than the inside of the upper sections of the legs. After adjusting the legs to the desired height, measure the available inside space between the top of the lower portion and the threaded plug in the upper portion and cut the dowel to length. Disassemble the legs and insert the dowels. This will insure that the legs maintain the proper height when in use. |

larryi think the brass washer is facing the right way, its odd that it is not beveled on one edge, both edges are the sdame. _________________ Carter SD10

I thought that brown ring looked like leather!
Looking at earlier posts, someone mentioned white silicone tape, usually used on brass plumbing fittings. I wrapped a small amount around the brass washer on the leg and they seem to be holding good. Thanks for your help friends!
