I'm a student at Belmont university and will be receiving my first pedal steel very soon. I was wondering if there were any teachers that could take me under their wing to get the fundamentals of this crazy instrument down. thanks! |

I'm sure there are plenty, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better teacher (or player) than Doug Jernigan. www.digndoug.com |

You might like to hook up with Donna Hammitt too. I don't know if she teaches but she went to Belmont as a pedal steel student many years ago, and has had a good career on the instrument. I'm sure you'd enjoy talking with her, even if she doesn't teach. _________________ www.JimCohen.com

Yep. I was out at Mike's place for a 4 hour boot camp a couple weeks ago and had a great experience. _________________ GFI Ultra S10 Keyless

I had the pleasure of seeing Doug play when I was in Nashville two months ago. He's an outstanding player and a really nice guy. As soon as he heard I played, he immediately offered to let me sit in with the band. I respectfully declined. _________________ Sierra Crown D-10 8+4, Sierra S-10 3+4, Carter D-10 8+7, Carter Starter 3+ a lot of engineering problems |
