I play through a Vegas 400, and it is very quite, exhibits no hum. However when I come out of my RV3 pedal to add a Peavey Special 130 to get a two amp setup, I get a hum. Not real loud, but loud enough to irritate. I also tried connecting through the lower input jack, and the line out, and still got the same hum.

For my setup I use the volume pedal in and go straight to the amp from the guitar. I use the effect in, in the rear of the Vegas 400.

Either amp alone has no hum at all. Am I over looking something?

Ground loop. Get a Hum-X, or lift the ground on one (not recommended, grounds are there for a reason)

Yes, as Lane said, don't lift one of the ground pins...usually done with one of those 3 to 2 wire adapters you see in hardware stores. That can be very dangerous.

The ground pins protect you from short circuits inside an amp that can put high voltage on the chassis. Put simply, with good ground connections, the amp would blow up, instead of you.

The Hum-X maintains a good, safe, ground, but eliminates the ground loop. Thus no ground loop hum and you are still protected.

Also look at the pedal power supply if you use one...is it original to the RV3? I have known people with issues using generic replacements with same voltage/plug but lacking some of the OEM filtering. A quick test would be to try it on battery only.
