Time to rejuvenate Mike Neer's Tune of the Month , now unofficially changed from TOTM to MNTOTM. So far, I've got:

"Cold Cold Heart"
"San Antonio Rose"
"Steel Guitar Rag"
"Right or Wrong"
"Faded Love"
"Walking The Floor Over You"

Solomon has voted for San Antonio Rose. Let's hear some more! I am by no means as qualified as Mike, but since a lot of us are busy I thought in my idol seconds I'd try to keep it going. Any one else is welcome to jump in Smile

7/29 EDIT - San Antonio Rose is TOTM!

Carl,
I apologize for jumping the gun with my duplicative post. After seeing this post now I realize I misunderstood.

You have the right to pull me out back and beat me up.

As a new player, I participated in the tune of the month previously and thought I would try this one if it is still open to pedal players. This is a tune that I tried a time or two but never really cracked until I saw it posted here and tried again last night. I think I can get through it now!

Ok, glad to join in the fun! If this wasn't tune of the month, it still may not have been in my repertoire, as previous attempts at this tune came up a liitle short.

Here is an effort by the Short St. Islanders. It's a bit rough around the edges but then so are we. On my new tricone. Thanks to Dawn at Elderly. They sure look after the international customers.

I was asked to post the track I used to do the TOTM, so here it is. You will have to choose the download option as I could not find a direct download link.

I like what I hear so far. This is a great start. I'll get to mine later in the month.

Consider it a work in progress. Ideas from Cindy Cashdollar DVD 1:

https://soundcloud.com/carl-mesrobian/san-antonio-roseforum-allmix

I retook it several times using Audacity and thought "Wow - I'm really unrelaxed, coming in too soon" Then I noticed that the latency settings were messed up and caused me to come in sooner (120 ms) than reality. What a pain!

Comments please!

Finally finished. Time is tight these days but here's my fourth take:

Perhaps I'll add a solo later but it sure was a lot of fun to work on this melody. For me it's one that's been long over due to learn.
