Does anyone know where to find an abundance of decent quality, drums only rhythm tracks? Country beats are mainly what Im after. Ive looked online but nothing seems to be quite what Im looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Leo

A used Alesis SR-16 drum machine will do everything you want. I've seen some sold for relatively low (under $100).

I use an SR-16 in my recording studio. Its my main "go to" for drum tracks.

Thank you Jack I will definitely check that out. I guess maybe what Ive been looking for all along is a drum machine and not MP3 tracks then??

I answered your PM on the SR-16.

I have MIDI drums that I can use with my recording software but I don't know about any MP3 drum tracks.

Band in a Box has drum tracks but they are not standalone MP3 tracks either. But you can create backup tracks for songs and export them as wav or MP3 and use them.

What I like about the SR-16 (and newer SR-1Cool is that they are not song dependent. Most drum machines require you to program them for specific songs.

Is the SR16 already programmed with: 4/4; 3/4 6/8 etc. Is it already set up for country music? JAMES TAYLOR

The SR-16 does not come with a 3/4 program.

But it can be programmed in with a 3/4 beat. I had mine programmed by someone else and I had three different "waltz" beats going plus a "triplett" ballad beat which is also done with 12 part measures. I didn't like the SR-16 though and bought a Zoom machine. I can't remember the model number but it has a couple of letters and a #3. They're only around a hundred bucks total and very easy to program yourself..........JH in Va.
