My band, Honeyfingers has been collaborating with Jim Campilongo on some of his material and we played our first gig at Barbes this past weekend. Someone video taped the whole thing and posted it, (hopefully he will post the other 2 sets as well). I am playing an S10 clinesmith through my Milkman 20w, no volume pedal....

It's a full set of music, so here is a song listing...

0:00 Nelly Bly - Campilongo
2:50 - Steel Guitar Rag
5:52- Billy's Bird - Campilongo
9:46 Jim's Guitar Boogie - Campilongo
15:42 - Pie Party - Campilongo
20:00 Blue Hen - Campilongo
26:55 - T Bone Rag
33:50 - Honeyfingers
39:20 - Splitsville - Campilongo

Great stuff, Jonathan, congratulations.

You guys put a lot of work into learning his tunes. I tried to get something going with Jim a few years ago, but it never happened. I still have all his charts somewhere!

This is great example of how and why electric guitar does not have to blow you outa the door.

Sounds great! Makes me sorry I didn't go.
I was on the fence, but Breaking Bad won out. The price we pay for momentary cultural relevance....
Next time (at Barbes)for sure.

Hey guys, thanks for kind words. It has definitely been a lot of work, ( NOTE- NO CHARTS) I am lucky to have some of NYC best musicians in Honeyfingers. Jim's tunes are so melodic which really helped learning....

Barbes is a great listening room behind a bar in NYC, they have all kinds of music there.
