I was just wondering what the difference is in these two items. I have heard amazing reviews on both. I have tried the Lil izzy and it indeed does do wonderful things for the sound of your guitar/amp.
Is the sonic stomp the same principle? Or are they both completely different animals? Thanks a bunch.

The Li'l Izzy is an impedance matching device. The Sonic Stomp is a sound maximizer.
Li'l Izzy helps match the impedance if your pickup to what ever else the guitar is plugged in to so that you get the best transfer of the sound from the pickup to those other devices (aka amplifier).
A sonic maximizer tends to bring lower volume sounds to a higher level, while bringing down louder sounds, so that the different frequency levels of the sound spectrum are transferred to the sound system.
It's very possible, after using the Li'l Izzy that you may not need the sonic maximizer.
My sound board at church has a feature called "Ultramizer". It's a "sonic maximizer" which in essence is a combination compressor / expander that does multiple frequencies across the spectrum at one time. It works well, but you have to be careful, as it can overdo it. _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)
