While mowing the grass for the nth time this week, I was thinking of the old WEbb Pierce song, and thinking I need to change the lyrics...this is all I can come up with:

There Stands the grass
mow it down to look trim
.....etc

You guys are clever, add to it please Smile

I did a parody of the song a few years back. Although it was done in fun the words are correct. Embarassed

There stands all the Grass, Fill the pipe to the brim, Until my thoughts they go dim, It's not my first one today. There stands the Grass, The Piles falling real fast, Looks like it won't last, brother I'm on my way. Laughing willie may like this. Laughing

...you should hire someone to cut it for you, then you could write "Just a Lawn I Used to Mow"...

(Ok, sorry, couldn't help it....I was recently playing along with "Just a Girl I Used to Know")...

There stands the grass
I've mowed it all down
Some places are brown
And it's giving me pain
There stands the grass
It's thirsty like me
Whatever will be
Brother we need some rain.
