Your cut also shows how expertly Noel was with the foot volume control. His 'swells' were seamless.
Noel was also an expert at moving from one neck to another in order to acquire a different chord, even for just on 'count'. It was fun watching him play. |

Do you know who played guitar? It sounds a lot like Hank Garland. _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |

Beautiful clip. It hardly seems possible that exactly 39 years ago this Labor day weekend Noel died at the age of 56. Sadly, to me, this kind of steel guitar sound is rarely heard today. |

According to the notes on the Amazon link that Andy provided, it was Benny Garcia. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Benny played on Tom Morrell's time warp top hand CDs. Great player. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |
