This turned out so good I've got to brag a little. I had an old Peavey Special 112 head that I decided to build into a combo. I started with a solid pine speaker cab from trmguitarcabs and modified it to house the amp. My first thought was to load my EPS-12C, which sounded good but not great with the amp. Then I tried a vintage Altec recone, a one-of-a-kind "mongrel" that the builder said "If Altec had tried to copy the D120F they would have built such a speaker." Now it's got serious guitar guts, a keeper for sure.
