Tommy, is the Super 8 where we should reserve rooms for the show? If so, would you mind posting the phone number?

I will be in attendance again this year and am looking forward to picking again with Rick, Andy, Drew, Earl, and the rest of the wonderful musicians who make this show one of my all-time favorites.

Bobby Bowman, Ronnie Symank, Rose Sinclair, and myself will be representing Texas, both with great pride for our home state and with sincere appreciation for the friendship and hospitality shown us by the monstrous pickers residing in the Volunteer State! Smile

Herb,is Rose on the players list? I didn't see it. If she is gonna play,Nashville is in for a real treat! She was my favorite at the Mt. Vernon,Illinois show. I don't think I will be able to make to Nashville that weekend but that show is always outstanding. Have fun.

Dave, I might be talking "out of school," but I just heard Rose may have been added to the players list. But no official notification as of yet.

Regardless, it's gonna be another good show, one of my favorites!

I express my sincere thanks to Jan Jones and all the hard-working folks in the club for the invitation to play and be a part of the NTSGA show. It is a GREAT show and it is a pleasure getting to see and hear so many of my heroes.

I had a blast at Super Jam!! Very Happy Thanks to Jan Jones for the invite (and to Carco Clave for playing on Prairie Home Companion, which opened up his slot!) I loved getting to hear and meet my favorite pickers -- what a line-up! Kudos to the hard working house band: Ric Boyer - bass, Andy Peake and Jan Jones - drums, Walt Cunningham - piano, Gregg Galbraith - guitar, and Drew Covington -fiddle (and a fine steel player as well). Photographer Mitzy Grantham was on the beat, along with Gloria, emcee and singer Ray Allen and a whole bunch of people that I didn't have the pleasure to meet YET. The combined effort of a lot of folks produced a fantastic steel guitar show and I was honored to be a part of it! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Wow folks,

If you were unable to attend the Super Jam in Nashville last week you missed a great one.

Everywhere I looked there were legends in the room. There were as many that showed up for the fellowship and didn’t play as there were that did play.

It was almost too much fun!!!

I spent a more time walking from one small gathering to another just listening to old stories than I did listening to the players.

I laughed so hard for so long that the muscles in my face were burning.

It was great to see Buddy Emmons there enjoying himself taking in all the festivities.

It was also a big surprise to see Rhonda Vincent show up.

Rhonda said her bus was getting ready to pull out and someone said they heard Buddy had showed up at the steel show.

So, she got off the bus and said “I’ve got to go meet him". So she left the bus, came over and paid the cost of admission and joined the local steel club just to visit for a while.

If you attend any shows next year, this should be the one on your itinerary.

I can’t wait until the next time.
