I've never seen so many bar slants used in one song. I still can't figure out the best way, or how, to use them. Perhaps that's why he's on the Opry and I'm not. Smile

For my money Paul Franklin is the undisputed and unchallenged heavy weight champion of the E9 pedal steel. I've never heard anyone else play like he does. Bravo Paul. Don

Watched it again, very amazing, so much feeling.
What is Paul playing thru? Could see no amp for him, unless he's using one of those speakers in front. Don't think he's using the Fender, no cord going there.

My spine still has chills running down it after that. I wonder down through the years how many steel guitars have been at the front of the stage like Paul Franklin was here. The Bakersfield CD is gonna make these two guys a lot of cash but more importantly help promote real country music.

Paul isn't going on auto-pilot, but he's really milking it. Never seen these large bar-slants.
Great job, Paul!!!
