I recently refinished my old Fender 1000. I really would like to replace the old fretboards. Are there any available, or can someone make them for me? I have full size photocopies of the old ones, if it would help.

Check with Jim Palenscar at Steel Guitars of North County in Oceanside, CA. He's also a forum member. I believe that he has them.

Be aware that some photocopying machines are not set up correctly and as a result the size of the copies is not exactly 100%, but maybe 97.4% or whatever. Just double check the sizes.

I also bought a Fender lapsteel fretboard from a shop in Nashville and the screen printing on the aluminum was really rough and the printing was curved, not straight like the strings, or my rulers.

The fretboards that I make have frets that are accurate to w/in.001" as they are done with a laser engraver and custom artwork is also avalable.
