I have an old Dickerson that has tone and volume control pots but they don't work. There is an old .02 M.K.F. capacitor that has been unhooked. Is that for tone control or volume (Sorry, I am new at this) Does any one have a drawing showing how to hook up the wires? The pickup works fine and one pot seem to slightly alter the tone, but there is no volume control and this is what I mainly want. There are two rusty pots that I have sprayed with cleaner. Thanks

Check out these photos & schematics at Denny's Guitars. The Magnatones he's talking about are probably very similar to your Dickerson.
