These guys have really done it up big. Their cd of Buck and Merle tunes is dynamite! What a great way to promote the pedal steel guitar and the Telecaster Bakersfield sound. Sirius/XM did an interview with them last week and they were on the Opry last Saturday. Really gets my blood flowing again!

We might set a new record on the Forum for most individual threads about one CD with this release - I think there are about a half dozen going now. Winking

I'm a big supporter of my local record store, but sometimes it's hard to pass up a bargain. I bought it on Tuesday at Wal-Mart: $10 + sales tax

I bought one at Barnes&Noble because I couldn't wait for my pre-ordered one to get here. Ah shucks, my wife's gonna get it anyway. Smile

After seeing them perform with the Time Jumpers, I expected some good country music. But this is incredible ! Telecasters, pedal steel , and fiddle...wow !Thanks Vince , Paul , and the gang for the terrific country music ! Tony Tipton

I heard Vince and Paul on the radio this morning plugging the the CD. They played Together again form the CD. It was just flat out awsome. They made Buck and Tom proud. Pauls solo had the Bakersfield sound, but it was all Paul Franklin. If there all this good it will be one good project.

I just purchased my copy tonight via ITunes. It sounds great through my Ipad 3.
There is a long interview with Paul and Vince, describing their gear. I'm sure it's old news for most here, but for us newbies, it was excellent to hear Paul Franklin explain his tunings, effects and amp set up. Vince added a lot about the Tele's used on the CD, and his home studio.
I appreciate the fact that there is some " old school" Bakersfield music, being recorded today, as a way of paying it forward.

Got their CD from Barns & Nobles, last night, I liked most of the songs, Paul did a great job and Vince, well, to me he sounds like he's aging in his voice,(little raspy) that's what getting old is all about, happen to George Jones, that young voice doesn't last forever. Their hearts are in tune to the music and that's what counts the most.
