After restringing my GFI uni 12... my "A" pedal is a little more hard to push down on to properly raise my 5 & 9 strings. I cannot see any debris in the changer/fingers. Now I am going nuts as to what I am not seeing. Has anyone ever encountered this problem?
Is my first time in 30yrs...
The guitar is less than 4yrs old.
Thank you for reading...

Did you happen to change to a different brand of strings with heavier strings or at least one heavier string?

Hi Jack, I use the same SIT set. But the only string I changed gauges on was my 4th E .11 to .12. The reason for that was I have a bunch of .12's. Now you got me thinking. Since my C pedal which raises my 4&5 I wonder if that .12 is the prob? The C pedal seems ok... i will change it to an .11.
Something about that "A" pedal just does'nt feel right at all. I had to walk away from it for a few days...was driving me nuts.
I was wondering if the was something more I could try here b4 I ship it to GFI? Maybe remove the 5 & 9th strings.. pull the 4 rods out to let the fingers move free and possibly drop a micrscopic bit of debris out. I have a large piece of black cloth under the guitar to see if something dropped like a piece of gtr string...
